BetaFactor® is the ideal supplement to achieve a perfect golden tan, as well as protect the skin from sunburn. BetaFactor ® contains beta-carotene and vitamin C.
What is beta carotene?
Beta-carotene is a carotene, which more specifically is a group of yellow and red dyes, which are found in many fruits and vegetables, and i.a. gives the carrots their color. By eating the beta-carotene over a longer period, the under skin is colored slightly golden, which makes it easier to get a tan, and reduces the risk of getting sunburned.
What features does BetaFactor® have?
Berthelsen BetaFactor® contains, in addition to beta-carotene, also vitamin C, which i.a. has the following functions:
- To help the skin form new collagen
- To protect the skin against oxidative stress
Application
Start approximately 4 weeks before you are exposed to the sun by taking 1 tablet daily to get the best possible effect. Continue until the sun season is over. BetaFactor® does not replace the use of sunscreen. Always use suitable SPF sunscreen when staying in the sun.

Berthelsen BetaFactor is a strong combination of beta-carotene and vitamin C.
BETACAROTEN contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and protects the skin from the sun's rays. Beta-carotene is what is called 'a precursor to vitamin A', which means that it is converted into vitamin A in the body. Beta-carotene is a carotenoid, and more specifically a carotene, which is a group of yellow and red pigments. They are found i.a. in carrots, and gives them their color. When beta-carotene is consumed over a period of time, what is called carotenemia is achieved. This means that the subcutaneous tissue becomes golden, and you get a golden skin color. When the skin becomes colored, the color forms around the pigment cells of the epidermis and gives the cell nuclei in the skin a protective layer. That we get a tan is therefore a natural protection mechanism. The beta-carotene means that we get color faster, and thus it becomes more difficult to get sunburned. In addition, the beta-carotene also helps with sun eczema.
C-VITAMIN helps the skin form new collagen and protects the skin from oxidative stress. Vitamin C is necessary to form amino acids, which are part of the protein collagen. Collagen is the tensile component in both tendons, cartilage, gums, bones, hair, nails and skin. When the skin ages, the skin becomes wrinkled, which i.a. is due to the fact that the formation of collagen decreases with age, and that collagen is broken down by UV rays from the sun. Vitamin C is therefore important for maintaining the level of collagen, which is necessary to strengthen and maintain the skin. You can read more about vitamin C here .
