Did you know that approx. 43% of the Danish population lack vitamin D3? And did you know that vegan and vegetarian diets can increase our need for vitamin D3 even more, since most sources of vitamin D through the diet are animal?

Vegan D3 from Green Vitamins
That is why we have developed Vegan D3, which contains cholecalciferol from vegan lichen moss. Vegan D3 contains extra virgin olive oil for better absorption. The capsule is small and easy to swallow, and 1 can is enough for 3 months of consumption.

What is vitamin D?
Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble vitamin, which means that D3 is stored in fatty tissue - especially in fatty fish. This also means that vitamin D3 is absorbed best if it is dissolved in fat, e.g. olive oil.

Vitamin D3 is also called the "sunshine vitamin", as the sun's rays cause the skin to convert cholesterol into Vitamin D3. However, the Danish weather is not always so sunny, and we therefore often do not get enough to cover our vitamin D3 needs.

How does vitamin D work?
Vitamin D3 is one of the most important vitamins that maintains our immune system. At the same time, vitamin D3 ensures an appropriate calcium-phosphorus balance in the blood and promotes the formation of bone tissue by helping the body absorb calcium.

Vitamin D3 also contributes to maintaining:

• teeth and bones
• the immune system
• normal cell division
• normal calcium level in the blood
• the uptake of calcium and phosphorus
• muscles

D3 from Green Vitamins is also available in both 35 mcg and 90 mcg . (Not vegan though).
